FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
How should I hang my clothes?
ALL clothing MUST BE on hangers and the hangers need to point to the left, like a question mark. Pants and skirts should also be hung on hangers. Pants and skirts are most secure on hangers when attached with safety pins or by using the hangers that have clips on them. Pants or skirts that are folded over a wire hanger have a tendency to slide off. During a busy sale they could end up overlooked underneath the clothing racks, or even stepped on by shoppers, so please be sure to secure your items to hangers carefully.
How do I tag my own items?
In order to tag your own items, you will first need a Consignor number. Whether you have consigned with us before or not, please CLICK HERE to have your consignor number sent to you. Tags MUST include your specific consignor number, a brief description of your item (including size and brand) and the price. You can use index cards or sturdy construction paper for tags and then attach the tags to the right side of the item, preferably under the arm of a shirt or in a seam near the waistband for pants or skirts. Please note that JWCH is not responsible for items hung or tagged incorrectly. Following these guidelines ensure that your items have the best visibility for shoppers. Please follow the example below:

Does the Super Sale accept clothing and items that have tags from other sales?
Yes. If you did not have luck selling your items at another sale, you are welcome to enter them into our Sale as long as you correct the vendor number on every tag. We are not responsible for items that are not labeled correctly.
What if I want to donate items to the Super Sale?
JWCH will graciously accept all donations of items that we will sell on behalf of the Children‟s Clothing Closet (CCC). 100% of these proceeds will directly benefit the CCC and are tax deductible. No work is necessary on your part in order to donate your items. We will provide the hangers for all donated items. Thank you for your consideration in this matter!
How do I package shoes?
You can package shoes in large plastic bags with the tag taped to the outside of the bag or lace zip ties or ribbon securely through a lace hole of each shoe and the pricing tag.
Why can I not size my garments with S, M, L, XL?
This gets very confusing when we are trying to organize the garments on the racks by size. S, M, L, XL has too wide a range of actual size and the garment may not be put with the right size category. This might keep the item from selling.
How do I package bedding?
The best way is in the package it came in or a clear plastic bag so that shoppers can see the design and quality without opening the bag. If the bedding has more than one piece, simply make one large tag explaining what all is included in the set and indicate the number of pieces in the set. Try to put all pieces together in one bag. Tape the tag to the outside of the bag.
How do I package toys with many parts?
VERY SECURELY!! The more secure the better. You can put small parts in plastic bags and tape the bag closed with clear packing tape, then tape the bag to the main part of the toy. Be sure not to put tape anywhere that will damage the look of the toy.
How do I package puzzles?
The best way is to wrap Saran Wrap around the puzzle and then secure it with clear packing tape. Just make sure the tag is on the outside and accessible. Puzzles and games that are in boxes must have every piece. Please be considerate of others and do not try to sell items that are incomplete. Please seal the box with clear packing tape.
Do I need to include batteries?
YES!!! We try very hard to ensure that we only sell working toys, accessories, etc. We will only accept battery operated items if they have charged batteries and work properly.
How do I package books?
You can put groups of books together in large plastic bags but please be sure to tape the tag to the outside of the bag. Please do not tape anywhere on a book that will damage the book or any of its pages. Books should be grouped by age and/or skill level. NO KID MEAL BOOKS WILL BE ACCEPTED! Dictionaries, story collections, box sets or other large, nice hard back books should be priced individually.
What is considered “juniors” sizes?
Junior sizes run from 0-13 in odd increments. Even sized clothes are Misses and will not be accepted. It is extremely important that clothing for this section be currently fashionable!

PLEASE—–WHEN IN DOUBT, LEAVE IT OUT! If you wouldn’t purchase it, no one else will either! Please keep in mind that as a general rule, depending on style, age and quality of the item, we sell used items for 20-33% of retail and brand new items for 50% of retail.

Price in Whole Dollars Only—No Cents!
